Why This Must Be Read: So many authors (thankfully) have attempted to re-write the Heroes episode; this one accomplishes the task with originality using the characters and mythology of the Stargate universe. It is a satisfying read that lives up to the depth of characters portrayed in the show. One lives through the horror of a battlefield, the intensity of emergency medicine and the emotional rollercoaster that working in the SGC brings to each member of the team.

Why This Must Be Read: As Sam helps Janet recover from her near death experience both must reconcile their feelings for one another as well as with the incident. Somewhat sappy at times this is still a lovely romance that keeps the Sam and Janet true to their characters. An enjoyable read for fans of ‘post Heroes’ and ‘first time’ Sam/Janet stories.

Why This Must Be Read:  This story was written several years ago, but I was surprised to find that it hadn't been recommended in stargateficrec (that I could find, anyway).  It's an amazing glimpse into what Sam could become (and do) if she ever decided to chuck the whole Air Force thing in favor of exacting revenge against the goa'uld; all wrapped up in an epic love story. It has a dark edge to it but still manages to be poignant, told with sgcbearcub 's usual brilliance. If you haven't read it yet, I highly recommend checking it out.

Why This Must Be Read: Rodney is a one-time great figure skater turned coach, and John is the 'could have been' figure skater who wants to win. This story is epic and took a couple of years to write. There are so many good things about this story: the characters are recognizably themselves, the original characters are fun and believable and steal their scenes, and the descriptions of the action is clear and visual.

Why This Must Be Read: This is a warm, angsty, lovely story about John (quite literally) revisiting his childhood. The John of this story is a great read; krabapple thinks through the whys and hows of John's possible background and psyche in a way that makes the reader ache for him. This is not a woobie fic (I generally avoid those myself), but it is angsty and painful in a sweet kind of way.

Why This Must Be Read: I admit to having a soft spot for fairy tale fics. This re-telling of Cinderella has just enough of a twist to keep it interesting and new. The characters are recognizable as their canon selves even when wrapped in a classic fairy tale. Sweet, hot, romantic, and smile-making.

At last he came to a room that was quiet, at the end of a long hall. It was a library, lined with tall shelves of books and furnished with rich leather couches, and John stepped inside and exhaled, relieved. Looking for fic where either John or Rodney is a girl from birth. Been reading some of the always a girl fic in the SUpernatural and Star Trek Reboot fandoms, and I now interested in finding Stargate Atlantis fic in that genre.

So I remember reading this fic some time ago and thought I had saved it, but am unable to find it in my links! (a common issue I know ^^"). Anyways, I'm pretty sure it's Jack/Daniel, though it may be gen. The team is visiting a planet and after some time everyone but Daniel become kind've... comatose? They can move and walk, but Daniel has to prod them to make any actions. I remember whenever Daniel get's close to Jack the latter hugs him and says his name. Anyways, Daniel gets them back to Earth and I think he was immune because of his allergy medicine (though I'm really really not sure about that)

Anyone have any ideas? I know it's vague but I really want to re-read it!
